Classic Kitchens

Classic kitchen design for homes across the Midlands.

Where lasting design begins

Classic kitchens crafted to last.

A classic kitchen is one of the more enduring investments you can make in your home. We’ve been designing and installing classic kitchens across the Midlands since 1993, and many of the shaker and in-frame kitchens we fitted years ago are still in daily use. That says something about the value of choosing a kitchen that is designed with care from the outset.

Our projects

Classic and traditional kitchens we've designed and installed.

Our projects page shows a range of completed classic kitchens from across the region, including shaker and in-frame designs in family homes, renovations and extensions. Each project includes the brief, the design decisions and the finished result.

Classic kitchens for extensions and period properties.

Classic kitchens often work beautifully in extensions and renovations because they can help a new space feel more settled and more naturally connected to the rest of the house. In a period property, that may mean carrying a sense of softness and continuity into the extension so it feels like a natural progression. In a newer home, it may be about continuing a more relaxed classic or modern-country aesthetic in a way that still feels appropriate to the architecture.

We are very used to working from architect’s drawings and designing kitchens within extension projects. The earlier we are involved, the easier it is to shape the kitchen properly in relation to the wider scheme.

Why clients choose RFK

What a more personal service looks like.

A classic kitchen only really works when the detail is handled well. Proportion, finish, cabinetry, worksurfaces and door furniture all need to feel right in the room they are going into. That’s where our experience, judgement and a measured approach make all the difference.

No handoffs, no account managers. The designer who listens to your brief stays involved until the kitchen is installed.

Classic kitchens reward careful detailing. Every layout is thought through with real consideration of how the space will work day to day.

No rushed decisions. The design consultation is a conversation, not a pitch.

Calm, Pressure-Free Process

We are still here years after installation, backed by the same team clients trusted in the first place.

Long-Term Relationships

Adjacent Spaces

The spaces that work alongside a classic kitchen.

A boot room with painted cabinetry, somewhere for wellies, coats and dog leads. A pantry that gives you extra storage, keeps the everyday clutter elsewhere, and lets the kitchen be the room everyone wants to spend time in… For many clients, these adjacent spaces are non-negotiable. They bring a much-needed sense of order to busy family homes, and while they don't need to match the kitchen exactly, they usually work best when thought about as part of the same project.
