Blue Classic Kitchen in Warwick
A blue classic kitchen with curved cabinetry, statement surfaces and personal detail.
Key features
A classic kitchen with detail at every turn.
This blue classic kitchen in Warwick was designed for a large rear extension. The space had the scale to take a generous island, tall cabinetry and a strong worksurface choice. The brief was to give the room character as well as function.
The finished kitchen has blue classic shaker cabinetry with curved details, marble-effect worksurfaces, glass-fronted display storage and colourful pendant lights. The overall effect is bold, with smaller choices that make it feel personal.

Our approach
-
A large kitchen that needed personality.
The scale of the room gave the kitchen plenty of opportunity, but it still needed careful handling. In a large extension, a classic kitchen can feel too formal if every decision is overly controlled.
The aim was to create a kitchen with presence and plenty of practical space, while letting the clients’ own choices come through. The colour, lighting, curved forms and display storage all needed to sit comfortably with each other.
-
Softening the room with curved detail.
The curved cabinetry is one of the most important parts of the design. It appears on the island and the main furniture run, removing hard corners and giving the room a more considered feel.
This kind of flowing design holds up well to the bolder colour and surface choices. The blue cabinetry gives the room depth, while the curved edges soften the outline. The result is a kitchen that feels substantial, but not heavy.
The glass-fronted cabinets add another layer. With internal lighting and a plate rack, everyday pieces become part of the room. The pendant lights bring in colour and personality, so the kitchen doesn’t feel too fixed or formal.
-
Blue cabinetry, bold surfaces and warmer detail.
The blue classic cabinetry gives the kitchen its base. It’s a strong choice, but the size and natural light of the extension allow the colour to work without closing in the room.
The marble-effect worksurfaces bring movement across the island and main kitchen run. They work alongside colour, lighting and display storage to give the kitchen a layered finish.
Brass sockets, colourful glass pendants and classic door furniture add warmth and character. These details make the room feel designed around the clients.
-
Curved cabinetry
The curved corners soften the island and furniture runs. They also make the kitchen feel more considered, with fewer hard edges in a large working space.
The statement island
The island gives the kitchen its centre. It provides working space, seating and a strong focal point without making the room feel crowded.
Glass-fronted display cabinets
The display cabinets break up the taller cabinetry and let the clients’ own pieces become part of the design.
Colourful pendant lighting
The pendant lights bring personality into the room. They make the kitchen feel less predictable and give the island a more individual finish.
Brass socket details
The warmer metal tone sits well against the blue cabinetry and picks up the warmth in the pendant lights.
The result
A blue classic kitchen with a personal finish.
The finished kitchen makes good use of the extension’s scale. It has the storage, island and working space the room can take, with enough personal detail to stop it feeling like a showroom. It’s a classic kitchen that rewards a closer look.
“We couldn’t be more pleased with our kitchen from RFK. The quality of the cupboards, worktops and fittings are very, very good. The customer service and installation were first class with great attention to detail. I was able to recommend them to a friend who was equally pleased with their results.”
